About Us
Give It Away was set up 6 years ago in order to make profit for Charities via the property industry. The first project was in 2006 when I built 3 new houses in Putney. They all sold well in 2007 making a distributable profit of £625,000. All of this was given away to local London registered Charities where there were children or young people in need. This contribution has helped those who are physically or emotionally disabled, where families require help with necessary equipment in the home, and youngsters with educational and challenging backgrounds who need mentoring and support.
The project then continued with the purchase of 2 new flats in Roehampton whose rent contributed to Give it Away. The Penthouse has now been sold after 4 years of continuous rental and that Capital Gain helped Give it Away. A new build development of 3 cottages was undertaken in 2011 in Woking, and sold in 2012 leaving a profit of £202,000 which means that the target of giving away £1 million has been reached and exceeded.
I get a great deal of help from professionals such as lawyers and structural engineers who offer me pro bono services and all the suppliers are generous with their discounts. All this helps the ultimate bottom line and has made a real difference for which I am very grateful.
I give to the smaller Charities who are not Government funded, who are not blessed with large trustee Boards of Royals and Celebrities and I always give to an identified project. I am now pleased to say that I am actaully involved with some of these concerns and am able to take part in how my contributions are used. The work will continue!
